Mandala Airlines

Mandala is a 39-year-old Airline that was purchased by Indigo and Cardig International in late 2006 to take advantage of the 3rd fastest growing aviation sector after China and India. With a domestic market larger that India"s, the investment into Mandala was to leverage using its excellent route network and national brand and turn it into a first class modern generation airline that offers safe, reliable service at affordable fares.

In 2007, the Airline ordered 30 brand new Airbus Aircraft worth USD$1,8 billion, took delivery of 4 brand news airbus aircraft, hired a first class International Management Team led by former Ryanair Senior Executive Warwick Brady, grounded all of its old 737-200s, contracted Singapore Airlines Engineering Company to maintain the fleet and rebuilt the network and brand.

Mandala now offers a wide network across 20 destinations and is a safe, well run modern fleet of Airbus and Boeing 737-400s offering excellent on-time schedules, in modern clean well maintained aircraft at extremely affordable prices. Mandala"s No.1 priority is benchmarking its Safety. It has now completed the IOSA (International Operational Safety Audit) through the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well as audits from Airbus Industry, Boeing and a number of Oil and Gas companies that have now approved travel on Mandala Airlines.

Our Fleet
Mandala Airlines original fleet comprised several Lockheed Electras and Vickers Viscounts, flying to a few cities in Indonesia.

A major change happened in 1992 when Mandala upgraded its fleet with Boeing 737-200 aircraft.

In 2001, Mandala added 2 Boeing 737-400, and by the end of 2005 the fleet included 12 Boeing 737-200 and 2 Boeing 737-400.

Mandala Airlines upgraded its fleet again in December 2006 with the addition of 4 technologically advanced Airbus A320 to replace several aging Boeing 737-200. With its larger seat capacity, more spacious cabin and a longer range, Airbus A320 provide more comfort for passengers.

Integrated Service
Mandala Airlines has developed a "Total Experience" service concept focused on customer satisfaction and excellent, high quality service.

Friendly and Sincere
Our friendly, sincere service is an expression of Mandala"s eastern values. Passengers enjoy Mandala Airlines service before, during and after the flight.

Comfort
Alongside its unshakeable focus on safety, Mandala Airlines makes passengers comfort a prime priority. We use Boeing 737-200, Boeing 737-400 and Airbus A320 to ensure the comfort of our passengers during flight.

Punctuality
One of the most important priorities for passengers is punctuality in departure and arrival. With a fleet that has proven its reliability and a continuously improved operation management, Mandala Airlines has become renowned for its punctuality.
